The Barracuda Launch Party.

I just came from The Barracuda Launch Party.
What an amazing turn out. I'm so proud of my students who got published and all those who tried.
Good Job!
What a great program.

Sometimes my 80lb dog forgets he’s not a pup and leaps onto my lap. But that’s okay. Sometimes when I forget I’m not a pup anymore I do things I shouldn't, too.

I found an old button, in an old dresser, which read, “The world needs more saw players.” I can’t disagree with that. I think the world would be a better place if popular music had some saw in it; and, of course, more cowbell.

Sometimes you have to find away to make light of life’s most crushing moments so that they don’t break you.

Happy St. Pat's

Happy St. Pat's. It's one of my favourite days of the year. I was fortunate enough to get to spend one in Galway, Ireland. It was brilliant, watching the parade, singing in the pub, drinking Guinness, in the only country where Guinness tastes like it should (though the Toucan in Kingston, Ontario does a good job).
St. Patrick's Day is a paid holiday there; a very civilized country is Ireland.
George Bernard Shaw said, "Ireland, sir, for good or evil, is like no other place under heaven, and no man can touch its sod or breathe its air without becoming better or worse."
Which I became has yet to be determined (that depends on who you talk to and what they consider to be important in life). But changed, I was.

Hats of to Ireland and to St. Patrick himself.

Cheers.

"Before I was humiliated I was like a stone that lies in deep mud, and he who is mighty came and in his compassion raised me up and exalted me very high and placed me on the top of the wall." - Saint Patrick

Sprung forward, hour lost, and the days are already 1.26 microseconds shorter thanks to the earthquake in Chile. No wonder I can't get anything done.

It is okay to have thy whiskey before noon, as long as it is in thy tea.

I loved the Olympics closing ceremonies and can’t wait to hear wait to hear all the things Toronto found totally offensive about it; and Quebec, (certain parts anyway). God love ‘em, and pass the two-four. But seriously folks, where was Arcade Fire and Rush? Anyway, The Maple Leaf Forever!
