Some days the words fight against you and the characters keep telling you you're missing something but refuse to tell you what. Imaginary people can be so difficult sometimes.
A Norwegian Artist, Ida Maria, that I saw, on Jools Holland, and wanted to shared. I have to admit, I'm crushing on her just a bit.

First is, 'I Like You So Much Better When You're Naked'. How can you not love a song with that title?

Next is 'Quiet Nice People':
“How come I’m so afraid of people? Mostly people are quite nice people.
How come I’m so in love with people? Most people are quite stupid people . . .
You’re just as terrified as I am,
terrified that someone will confirm that you suck.”

And lastly is actually the song I heard on Jools Holland, 'Oh My God'. "Find a cure, find a cure for my life. . . "

Lil' Crow Cafe

Last year I wrote a short piece about Lil' Crow Cafe on Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory. Like a number of places in the Quinte region it's seasonal. But, I took a nip over this week and it was open again. I had some great coffee, a visit with the owners, and took a few pictures to share with you. I've found it to be a great place to get some writing done. And their Elk Panini is very tasty.

?

Is it a sin to worship her image?
What if it is?
If I puck out my eyes
I’ll only listen harder for her voice;
if stab my eardrums deaf
I’ll only breathe deeper
trying to catch
a trace of her perfume;
if I cut off my nose
I’ll only reach out to
find her with a touch
wishing she’d welcome it;
if I cut off my hands
I’ll only dream of the
taste of her kiss.
