If You Don't Have Heart . . .

When the Egyptians mummified people, they removed the brain and left the heart. I think they were right. You don't need to be clever to get into heaven; you need to be compassionate. And if you don't have heart, you don't have anything at all.

  1. Todays insight from the Dalai Lama applies;

    "Knowledge is important, but much more important is the use toward which it is put. This depends on the heart and mind of the one who uses it."

  2. "But you don't always have to hold your head higher than your heart." - Jack Johnson :-)

    There are certain things that can only be understood by the heart. Without it, we are blind to wonder, love, compassion, humour . . . all the things that make life worth living.
