One of my favourite films, when I was a wee one, was Pinocchio. I still love its story and the lessons and morals it teaches.
You can do whatever you want, whenever you want, and think only of yourself, and it’ll be fun for a while; but really, you're only making an ass of yourself.
If you ever want to be real, and stop letting other people pull your strings, you need to listen to your maker and follow your own conscience. Then you'll cease to be wooden and start to feel and think for yourself.
And, of course:
“When you wish upon a star
Makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires
Will come to you.”
